David McCartney

David McCartney is the co-founder and COO of DataSmart. With more than 25 years of experience in the wireless industry, Mr. McCartney brings a great deal of experience to his position in the companies he is associated with. Recently he was the COO of Silvus Technologies, a leading edge wireless technology company. Prior to Silvus Technologies, McCartney ran the America's as the GM/VP for Wavecom (a leading CDMA/GSM module OEM). In addition, he has held senior management positions with Motorola, Ericsson, and Bosch Telecom, and he was instrumental with the launch and growth of a RangeStar Wireless (which is now part of Tyco), a pioneer in the embedded antennas market for wireless devices.
David received a B.S. degree from Iowa State University and an MBA degree from Lynchburg College in Lynchburg, Virginia. He has authored or co-authored three (3) US patents. Also an acknowledged writer and speaker, David has published over 25+ articles and was a Contributing Editor with 'Wireless Design'.

Eric King

Eric King is the General Manager for IoT SmartData Labs. He is a marketing and sales professional with a 20 year track record of success. Eric has repeatedly launch and a grown new high tech products and services to the global markets. He lived in Munich, Germany for five years and has has done business in Europe, Japan, China, and the US. He managed revenue generating products and services from cradle to grave for companies in the semiconductor and wireless space. These companies include RFMD, National Semiconductor, and two other wireless M2M module companies(Wavecom and Enfora).

Eric has MBA in International Business from the University of Southern California and BS in Electrical Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology.

Brian Hicks

Brian Hick is the Engineering Manager of IOT Smartdata Labs. With more than 15 years of experience in the telecom and wireless industry, Mr. Hicks brings a great deal of experience to IOT SmartData Lab in the area of cellular front-end engineering, certfications. He has worked at Telefonicia, Sprint (certfication lab), and was also a field engineer for Wavecom.

Brian received a engineering degree from Kansas State University. He currerntly lives in the San Diego area
